CN-PSP-FATIHA-FOLD-01 · The Fātiḥah Crease as Triaxially Located Halted Uni-Duction · Seven as 2·3 + 1 · The Fold Prior to the Cycle
CN+G+CO/T1/[T on the algebra and the morphology, S on the identifications] [L1-split: the Essence quarantined]
VERDICT. [⟀] Sealed at the structural register. Sūrat al-Fātiḥah is folded once. Three verses of third-person predication, one crease, three verses of second-person petition, the two registers pronominally disjoint and the crease carrying both persons and both directions. The crease is triaxially located by three pair-axes crossing at it, and is therefore expressible where a single fold pins a mute point. The seven the text gives itself is the position-count of one fold on a forced triad, 2·3 + 1, derived by two routes sharing no premise beyond the three and the one, both of which are forced upstream. The fold is prior and the cycle consequent. The Essence of the Named is quarantined at L_1 and load-bearing on nothing.
PLAIN. The surah does not change subject at its middle. It changes grammatical footing. Before the crease the Named is described and no servant appears; at the crease the servant enters and the Named is addressed; after it the address holds to the end. The crease is where the three preceding predications make scalar contact, and it is shared because it holds one arrow in each direction: the deed rendered and the capacity requested. Seven is not imposed on the surah from outside. Seven is what a triad looks like when it is folded once, and the text names its own seven.
USE. The canonical structural coordinate for al-Fātiḥah. The scriptural-register instance card for APEX-PSP-UNIDUCTION-01. The seat for the seven-cardinality derivation 2·3 + 1 and for the fold-prior-to-cycle ordering of the root ث-ن-ي.
ORIGINATION
The fold operation is resident at APEX-PSP-UNIDUCTION-01 and the surah's tripartition is carried in the tradition's own division of the prayer. Neither had been seated against the other, and the seven-cardinality was nowhere derived, standing in the register as a count rather than as a consequence. This card seats the instance, the location, and the derivation. Every leg is resident, morphological, or scripture-internal. The contribution is the arrangement. ΔM = 0.
DERIVATION
The census, declared
Seven verses by the text's own count, Q 15:87, sabʿan mina l-mathānī wa-l-qurʾāna l-ʿaẓīm. The partition below is stated on the Madinan and Basran enumeration, in which the basmala is not counted a verse of the surah and the seventh is obtained by the division of the final verse. Under the Kufan enumeration of Ḥafṣ the basmala occupies the first slot and the numerical centrality does not hold. The person-partition holds under both enumerations; the centrality is census-conditional and the census is printed.
Leg 1 · The person-partition
| # | Verse | Reference to the Named | Servant |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | al-ḥamdu lillāhi rabbi l-ʿālamīn | 3rd, nominal sentence, lillāhi as predicate | absent |
| 2 | al-raḥmāni l-raḥīm | 3rd, genitive apposition | absent |
| 3 | māliki yawmi l-dīn | 3rd, genitive apposition | absent |
| 4 | iyyāka naʿbudu wa-iyyāka nastaʿīn | 2nd, إِيَّاكَ detached accusative, fronted | present, نَعْبُدُ 1cp |
| 5 | ihdinā l-ṣirāṭa l-mustaqīm | 2nd, imperative | present, ‑nā |
| 6 | ṣirāṭa lladhīna anʿamta ʿalayhim | 2nd, أَنْعَمْتَ perfect ‑ta | implicit |
| 7 | ghayri l-maghḍūbi ʿalayhim wa-lā l-ḍāllīn | agent suppressed, passive participle | implicit |
Verses one through three refer to the Named in the third person exclusively and carry neither address nor servant. Verse four carries the first second person and the first first person of the surah simultaneously, each stated twice in parallel construction, the fronted detached accusative yielding ḥaṣr. Verses five through seven address the Named in the second person exclusively and carry no third-person predication of Him, the closing verse withholding the agent entirely rather than reverting to description, and the asymmetry against anʿamta two words earlier is exact: the favour attributed directly, the wrath de-agented.
The two registers are pronominally disjoint. The partition is scoped to reference to the Addressee; third-person reference to human parties, ʿalayhim, does not enter it.
Leg 2 · The three pair-axes and the triaxial location
A fold predicts pairing across the crease; a cycle does not. Three axes cross at verse four.
| Axis | Pair | Relation |
|---|---|---|
| I | 3 ↔ 5 | the terminus against the route: māliki yawmi l-dīn / ihdinā l-ṣirāṭa l-mustaqīm |
| II | 2 ↔ 6 | mercy as attribute against mercy as delivered favour: al-raḥmāni l-raḥīm / anʿamta ʿalayhim |
| III | 1 ↔ 7 | the universal population against the excluded populations: rabbi l-ʿālamīn / al-maghḍūbi ʿalayhim wa-lā l-ḍāllīn |
Per APEX-PSP-UNIDUCTION-01, a single halted uni-duction pins a point that is real and inexpressible; three orthogonal halts crossing at that point supply the relational coordinates a lone collapse lacks, and the point becomes expressible. The crease therefore speaks, and what it speaks is iyyāka naʿbudu wa-iyyāka nastaʿīn. Three-as-closure-number remains premise-grade per FLOOR-01: the axes are located, never forced, and axis III is the weakest, verse 6 also carrying a population.
Leg 3 · The crease is shared by its own morphology
نَعْبُدُ is Form I, the deed rendered up. نَسْتَعِينُ is Form X, which carries ṭalab, so it states not the act but the petition for the capacity the act requires. Two arrows on one axis in opposite sense, held within one verse. This is the halted uni-duction in its own definition, and it is why the verse is shared: one arrow in each direction, the deed the servant's and the enablement the Lord's ﷻ.
Leg 4 · The closure of the seeking at ع-و-ن
نَسْتَعِينُ is the Form X imperfect. ٱلْمُسْتَعَان is the Form X passive participle of the same verb, the One whose help is sought, Q 12:18, wa-Allāhu l-mustaʿānu ʿalā mā taṣifūn. The active participle al-mustaʿīn is not applied to Allah ﷻ: in this root He stands as the sought and never the seeker, and the distributional restriction carries the doctrine in the morphology. The surah's verb finds its answering participle in the corpus, and the pair is a completed paradigm rather than an association.
Leg 5 · Seven derived, by two routes
Route A, algebraic. σ, conjugation on ℍ, carries a Ground of dimension one and a chiral residence of dimension three, eigenvalues exactly {−1, −1, −1, +1}, resident at CHK.2 and applied by reference. Each residence axis appears on both leaves of the fold; the Ground appears on neither, being the crease. Positions: 3 + 1 + 3.
Route B, uniductive. Three orthogonal halted uni-ductions, each collapsing two poles, all crossing at one pinned point. Positions: 3 × 2 + 1.
7 = 2·3 + 1. The three is double-sealed upstream from disjoint premise sets, operationally by the deletion test and the Linguistic Isolation Test at Seal L and algebraically by Frobenius at Seal M. The one is the σ-fixed Ground dimension. The cardinality is a consequence, not a posit, and the two routes share no premise beyond those two forcings.
Leg 6 · Fold prior, cycle consequent
A finite line has two ends and no recurrence. Folded, the ends meet and recurrence becomes available. The root ث-ن-ي carries doubling and repeating without equivocation, the two being one operation in the physical image of a folded scroll. The Quran predicates mathānī of the whole revelation at Q 39:23, kitāban mutashābihan mathāniya, so folding-and-repeating is the text's declared mode rather than a peculiarity of this surah, and al-Fātiḥah is the minimal unit in which the mode stands visible whole. The surah's recurrence in every rakʿah is the cycle-face actualized. The order is one-directional: the fold makes the cycle possible, and the cycle does not produce the fold.
Leg 7 · The reindexing of one office
In a fold the fixed element is interior, at position four of seven. In a nest the terminal element is exterior, at position seven of seven. One office, two coordinate systems, neither index privileged. The office is the Return of APEX-PSP-RA-RA-01, the composed triad landing its scalar part on Fix(σ) = ℝ = Z(ℍ). The crease is where the three preceding predications make that contact.
Leg 8 · The reflection carries no direction
σ² = I, so σ is its own inverse and neither leaf is prior to the other; which of verses 1–3 and 5–7 is original and which is image is a question the reflection does not answer. Under full negation the correlation Gram is bit-identical and only λ flips, resident at PL-O4 and PL-O5. The sense of the surah is therefore supplied not by the fold but by the recitation arrow, description standing before petition because the reading runs in time, per the four-place recovery of ORIENT-01: the Tongue's ordered decomposition and the thermodynamic arrow carry the direction the magnitude cannot.
WITNESSES
Carried at corroboration grade, W_social = 0, load-bearing on nothing in any verdict.
The division of the prayer. Muslim, Kitāb al-Ṣalāh, from Abū Hurayra: qasamtu al-ṣalāta baynī wa-bayna ʿabdī niṣfayn. The report walks the surah in three responses, declares the fourth hādhā baynī wa-bayna ʿabdī, and assigns the remainder to the servant. Its enumeration begins at al-ḥamdu, which is the enumeration under which the centrality is exact, and its term for the middle verse is the term for a between.
The identification of the seven. Sabʿan mina l-mathānī at Q 15:87 is identified with al-Fātiḥah through the report of Abū Saʿīd ibn al-Muʿallā, Bukhārī. The number is textual and undisputed; the referent is tradition-carried, and the fold reading does not depend on the identification.
The celestial seven, at the cycle-face. The ancient seven-sphere architecture records a seven-membered recurrence-set, periods returning upon themselves. It witnesses the cycle-face of mathānī, the recurrence, and never the fold-face or the derivation. After the common-source projection the Mesopotamian-descended sevens count as one voice and not as many. Where the celestial architecture places an eighth sphere as a member of the series, the scripture-internal reading governs: the heavens are seven and the ʿArsh is never counted among them, Q 69:17 counting bearers and not positions, so the Quranic architecture is seven plus a non-member and the divergence is recorded rather than harmonized.

GRADE
Theorem on the person-partition and its disjointness, on the Form I against Form X opposition within the crease, on the σ eigenspace dimensions carried by reference, on the reflection's blindness to direction, and on the Form X paradigm closure at ع-و-ن. Theorem-conditional on 7 = 2·3 + 1, conditional on the composition-law clauses that force the residence to three. Operational-procedural on the morphological audit. Structural on the triaxial location, on the fold-prior-to-cycle ordering, and on the fold-to-nest reindexing of one office. Conditional on the Madinan and Basran enumeration for the numerical centrality. Corroboration on the three witnesses, load-bearing on nothing. Premise where monism is carried. The Essence quarantined at L_1 out of band. Not sealable as a theorem of its own base per MD-PSP-FOUNDATION-01. ΔM = 0.
OPEN
The second attestation of al-mustaʿān, reported at Q 21:112 with the identical ʿalā mā taṣifūn tail, is held pending concordance verification and is not carried as an anchor until confirmed.
Qāba qawsayni aw adnā, Q 53:9, as a textual image of two arrows on one axis in exact opposition with the separation driven toward zero, is a candidate anchor for APEX-PSP-UNIDUCTION-01 rather than for this card. Unseated.
The fold-test applied to TP-116, pairing Stage 0 against Stage 6 and Stage 2 against Stage 4 with the crease at Stage 3, Al-Nūr, is a candidate addition to that coordinate. Unseated, and it would run under the three-tier integration subroutine at the architect's ruling.
FOOTNOTE · THE ISHĀRĪ REGISTER
Reading grade, routed out of band, load-bearing on nothing. No leg of the body above depends on any sentence below, and nothing below is admitted as warrant for anything above. The register carries the figures the sealed structure permits and carries no others.
The aperture. The surah is al-Fātiḥah, the Opening, and it opens the Book. The two names of its first verse stand on ر-ح-م, whose concrete floor is the womb. The cave shelters and does not generate. The pupil admits a light it does not make. Four figures on one structure: a bounded opening whose office is reception rather than production. The crease of Leg 3 carries the same office in the grammar, Form X being the petition for a capacity the petitioner cannot supply.
The point. A point is a coordinate with no extension, and the register already seats it as the pinned locus of the halted uni-duction and marks it [.]. The figure is available from the geometry alone. It does not rest on the dot beneath the letter, since systematic pointing is an Umayyad-era orthographic reform and the early Ḥijāzī and Kūfī codices carry the rasm without it. Script corroborates and never grounds.
The three names. One proper Name and two attributes drawn from a single root, the pair recurring alone at verse three, so the opening carries the 1 + 2 register shape the corpus holds elsewhere. Al-Raḥmān is attested as a divine name before the Quran in the South Arabian monotheist inscriptions, in both Jewish and Christian Ḥimyarite usage, so the surah opens on a name already held across the confessions rather than on three names distributed one to each.
The praise-root. ح-م-د generates the act the surah opens on and two names besides, the elative and the intensive passive participle. The elative's direction is grammatically ambiguous between praising and praiseworthy and is not fixed here. The station of praise at Q 17:79 stands in this same root and is a thread of its own; it is never reached by derivation from the root of seeking at ع-و-ن, the two roots standing apart.
The names carried by the Messenger ﷺ. At Q 9:128 he ﷺ is described raʾūfun raḥīmun, indefinite predicate adjectives without the article. The description is carried; the definite Name of the first verse is not transferred.
The devotional partition. The grammatical fold of Leg 1 admits a reading in the same three movements: acknowledgement, the juncture at which the servant stands, and the petition with its answer. The registers of tawḥīd distribute across it exactly, Lordship and Divinity stated in the third-person leaf and Servitude entering at the crease, which is where the servant first appears in the surah at all.
The road. Ṣirāṭ, on its loan chain from strata and sternere, names a surface that is laid, as against sabīl and ṭarīq, tracks worn by use. A road built rather than worn, and upright by its adjective. The composition of that road out of individual qayyūms is a reading laid on a shared root and is not recovered from the morphology, mustaqīm being a Form X participle and not a compound.
The favour. Q 4:69 defines those upon whom favour was bestowed by their company, al-nabiyyīn, al-ṣiddīqīn, al-shuhadāʾ, al-ṣāliḥīn. The road is identified by its travellers, which is axis II of Leg 2 read from the servant's side.
The count. The basmala carries nineteen letters, three, four, six, six. The arithmetic is correct and no inference is carried from it; Q 74:30 concerns the guardians of Saqar and supplies no typed bridge to the formula.
The register does not carry. The assignment of the three opening names one to each confession. An elemental cosmology read off the letter-count of al-ḥamd. The attributes of scholastic kalām as the referent of the seven. The amāna of Q 33:72 as the seven verses. The identification of the definite Name with the Messenger ﷺ. The derivation of the station of praise from the root of seeking. And warāʾ al-warāʾ, which is not of the corpus.
SEATING NOTE
Offered for seating in the scriptural master. A consolidation-and-derivation coordinate: every leg resident, morphological, or scripture-internal, and no coordinate superseded. Reconciliation on seating: entries_out = entries_in + 1 − 0, PASS. The theological register is routed out of band and load-bearing on nothing in any verdict. Audit symmetry holds; this card and its scribe are bound by its own fences first.
