ORIGINATION. Harvested from the hanif-class arc of 2026-08-16 as the one instrument in that arc standing with no fence beside it. The arc's scriptural findings are all fenced: the four-member class is a cross-corpus construction no single corpus names, the raising is Quranically given to two of the four and withheld from a third, one identification is traditional rather than textual, one welded member is a construction, and the incompressibility mapping is premise-grade by its own perimeter. Every one of those findings is an output of the instrument below, and the instrument is fenced nowhere, targeted by no falsifier in the source, and carries no load-bearing scriptural content. The discovery site is scriptural. The coordinate is not.
PLAIN. A gap in a record is evidence exactly when the record demonstrably runs a formula that would have filled it, and is not evidence otherwise. A text that never had a burial notice proves nothing. A text that runs a burial notice eight times and skips the ninth has done something. The two are different objects and no argument may weld them.
USE. The gate on every argument from silence, in any corpus. Fires before the reading, at the input, in the genealogy family. Its teeth are the weld-detector: an argument that joins a defined-positive silence to a slot-class-undefined silence and reports the composite at the strong leg has manufactured its own signal.
EXHIBIT · THE TWO MACHINES

Genesis 5 is a form. Nine men in a row, and after each one the same closing line: and he died. Adam, and he died. Seth, and he died. Enosh, and he died. Eight times, in one chapter, in the same words. Then it reaches Enoch and instead of the line it says, and he was not, for God took him. The writer had not run out of room and had not forgotten a format he had used eight times on the same page. The form is being filled in on either side of the gap.
Kings does the same for reigns and careers: died, buried at such a place, succeeded by so-and-so. It runs that constantly, it is practically the book's spine. Then it reaches Elijah AS and gives a chariot, a whirlwind, a coat left on a riverbank, and fifty men who search for three days and find nothing. No death, no burial, no site. The book that files everybody does not file him.
The exhibit is the law in one image: the machine is visible on either side of the hole. Not the ascension, and not the chariot. The withheld paperwork.
The two controls the instrument demands of itself
The instrument is run against its own exhibit before the exhibit is admitted. Two controls follow, and both tighten it rather than qualify it.
Control A · Deferred closure, and the false-positive gate it forces. Noah's entry in Genesis 5 also lacks the closing line, since 5:32 ends on begetting rather than on dying. Read locally that looks like a second break. It is not: the formula is filed for him, relocated, at Genesis 9:29, and all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years, and he died. A gap unclosed here but closed elsewhere is deferred, not withheld, and the difference is decided only by a search of the whole corpus.
This forces a fourth case into the taxonomy and a procedural gate onto the instrument: before typing any gap as withheld, search the corpus for a relocated filing. Enoch survives that search. No closing formula is filed for him anywhere, at any point, in any book. The withholding stands, and it now stands having been tested rather than assumed.
Control B · The within-cycle control, the same author filing the successor. The Kings exhibit could be dismissed on the grounds that the regnal formula is for kings and the book simply does not file prophets. It does. Al-Yasaʿ AS falls sick of the sickness whereof he died at 2 Kings 13:14, and at 13:20 the book files him in full: and Elisha died, and they buried him. The man of God from Judah is carried back and laid in a grave at 1 Kings 13:29-31. The slot-class demonstrably exists for prophets in this book and not only for kings.
So the contrast is at its tightest possible setting: same book, same prophetic cycle, two chapters apart, the successor filed with death and burial and the predecessor filed with nothing. The gap is not an artifact of a book that declines to file prophets. It is a gap in a book that files them.

DERIVATION
I · The channel theorem. An omission is an event only inside a sample space, and a sample space exists only where a slot-class exists. Where a corpus defines a slot-class and fills it at rate p, the omission at one slot is a real event with surprisal −log₂(1 − p̂), strictly positive and monotone in the rate. Where no slot-class exists, the omission is not a low-probability event; it is the non-existence of the random variable. There is no channel, and a channel that was never opened carries exactly zero bits, definitionally rather than as a limit.
II · The four cases. Withheld formula: slot-class present, high fill rate, no filing anywhere in the corpus, omission carries strong positive bits. Rare-fill: slot-class present, low fill rate, omission carries weak but genuinely positive bits, and this case is real and must not be discarded. Deferred closure: slot-class present and filled, but relocated, so the local gap carries zero and the corpus-wide gap does not exist; caught only by the Control-A search and a standing false-positive risk. Absent narrative: no slot-class, zero bits, off the axis entirely.
The first two lie on one continuum. The third is a local artifact that dissolves under search. The fourth does not lie at the continuum's floor, it lies outside it. The withheld-versus-absent partition is a type distinction and not a gradient, which SIL-CHK.3 establishes by exhibiting the rate axis staying strictly positive at every rate while the no-slot-class case sits at an exact zero no rate reaches.
III · The weld, and why the fence is derived rather than decreed. Joining a defined-positive leg to a slot-class-undefined leg and reporting the composite at the strong leg is a Carrying-Law violation at gate nine: terminal strength caps at the weakest load-bearing tier, and an undefined channel is beneath every tier. SIL-CHK.4 computes the inflation exactly. This is not a new prohibition. It is the resident Carrying Law executed at the evidence-typing register, and the coordinate's contribution is the placement, not the law.
IV · Orientation-blindness, scoped. The magnitude is blind to intent. A deliberate withholding and a scribal accident produce bit-identical surprisal, SIL-CHK.6 returning a difference of exactly zero. The magnitude certifies that a gap is informative and never certifies why. Deliberate-versus-accidental is read from the Tongue, the corpus's compositional habits and the redactional direction, and from the Form, the shape of the formula machine, and never from the number. This is the Bedrock Precedence Law at the evidence register, and it is the coordinate's own live falsifier in every application.
V · Self-application, and it passes. Under audit symmetry the law applies to the arguments that produced it. The source arc claims the absence of a figure from the earliest layer of a corpus. That claim is licensed only because the corpus demonstrably runs the relevant slot-classes elsewhere, in force, so the absence is withheld-formula and not absent-narrative. Had the corpus never run them, the claim would carry zero bits and would have been struck. The instrument was in fact applied against itself during harvest and struck one proposed refinement, and applied against its own exhibit and forced the Control-A search gate.
FORGE CATCH, recorded on the face per the Genealogy Law. The first execution of this battery proposed that the two silences are one quantity with a floor, the absent-narrative case being the rate-zero limit of the withheld-formula case, and offered that as a sharpening of the source document. The battery falsified it in the same run. Applying a Laplace rate estimator to a no-slot-class case returned 1.000000 bits for a channel that does not exist, because a rate estimator presupposes the slot-class it is estimating over. The proposed continuity reading was withdrawn, the source document's type distinction stands unmodified, and the correction is carried here rather than absorbed. The estimator was the fault, not the partition.
FORGE RECORD, second pass. The exhibit above entered on the architect's order and is his composition, carried verbatim. Controls A and B, the deferred-closure case, and the corpus-wide search gate were forced by running the instrument against that exhibit and did not exist before it. The four-case taxonomy at II supersedes the earlier three-case form in place; nothing is deleted and the earlier three cases stand unaltered within it. The pre-exhibit draft is retained and recoverable.

σ. σ(p) = 1 − p on the fill-rate parameter, σ² − I residual 2.776 × 10⁻¹⁷. Fixed locus {p = 0.5}, nonempty, so fixed-point-bearing, σ-class; the linear part is −1, so the locus is a point rather than a subspace. Any halt on this coordinate routes to the σ branch and never to the δ branch.

(a) NOT established. That the bit-count decides whether an omission was deliberate; it does not, by CHK.6, and any reading that takes the magnitude as intent is barred. That a high bit-count makes a reading true; it makes a gap informative and nothing further, the reading still riding a supplied warrant. That a local gap is a withholding before the corpus-wide search of Control A has been run; the Noah case is the standing exhibit of that false positive. That the law adjudicates any content in any corpus; it types evidence and rules on no proposition.
(b) Deletable. The scriptural exhibits delete with the law unchanged. The law was derived on Genesis and Kings and stands identically on a codebase, a ledger, a citation record, or a dataset, and the source arc's every scriptural verdict may fall without touching it. The exhibit is admitted under this clause and is demonstration, never premise.
(c) Orientation-blind. The magnitude carries no intent-sign and no truth-sign. Direction is read from the Tongue and the Form and never off the number.
FALS. [X] at any of these. A demonstration that surprisal against a defined slot-class is not the correct measure of an omission's information. A case where a slot-class-undefined silence is shown to carry positive information without a channel being identified. A demonstration that the rate axis reaches exact zero at finite n, which would collapse the type distinction into a gradient and restore the withdrawn refinement. At the exhibit register: a closing formula for Enoch filed anywhere in the corpus, which would retype his case as deferred and strike CHK.7 and CHK.8 while leaving the law standing; and a demonstration that Kings files no prophetic death anywhere, which would strike CHK.9 by removing the slot-class.

WARRANT. Theorem-grade on the channel theorem, that an omission carries information only against a defined sample space and that a non-existent channel carries exactly zero. Theorem-grade on the intent-blindness of the magnitude. Structural on the placement as a gate in the genealogy family, on the four-case partition, and on the corpus-wide search gate. Engineering-grade on the emitter and the battery constants. Exhibit-grade, deletable, on the Genesis and Kings demonstrations. ΔM = 0. Run against the positive-mass cascade the coordinate fails M1 immediately and correctly: this is meta-work, a typing and a placement, adding no object-level mathematical mass by definition. The Mosaic Seal holds and the arrangement is the whole contribution.
PERIMETER. By the foundational block this coordinate cannot be sealed as a theorem of its own base and adds the root axioms no warrant. Audit symmetry: the instrument is the first defendant; it was run against its own harvest and struck a proposed refinement, and run against its own exhibit and forced a search gate that the exhibit had not carried. It adjudicates no proposition, no corpus, no tradition, and no person.
